این ماژول از خانواده تراشه های سنسور جریان Allegro™ ACS758  برای سنجش جریان AC یا DC استفاده می کند. از کاربردهای این ماژول می توان به کنترل موتور، تشخیص و مدیریت بار، منبع تغذیه و کنترل مبدل DC به DC، کنترل اینورتر و تشخیص خطای جریان اضافه اشاره کرد.
این ماژول از یک مدار خطی هال دقیق و کم افست با مسیر هدایت مسی که در نزدیکی قالب قرار دارد تشکیل شده است. جریان اعمالی که از طریق این مسیر هدایت مسی جریان می یابد، میدان مغناطیسی ایجاد می کند که آی سی هال آن را به یک ولتاژ متناسب تبدیل می کند. دقت دستگاه از طریق نزدیکی سیگنال مغناطیسی به مبدل هال بهینه می شود. یک ولتاژ خروجی دقیق و متناسب توسط آی سی BiCMOS Hall با آفست کم و تثبیت شده ارائه می شود. خانواده IC های حسگر ACS758 در برنامه هایی که نیاز به ایزولاسیون الکتریکی دارند بدون استفاده از جداسازهای اپتو یا سایر تکنیک های جداسازی پرهزینه استفاده شوند.
ماژول قبل از ارسال از کارخانه کاملاً کالیبره شده است.
