این برد یک ماژول مبدل USB به سریال با استفاده از چیپ CH340می باشد.. ماژولUSB to Serial  CH340 دارای سه LED بر روی برد برای نشان دادن تغذیه، دیتای درحال دریافت و انتقال است. ماژول USB to Serial CH340 دارای خروجی 3.3 تا 5 ولت است که به شما این امکان را می دهد به طور مستقیم پروژه خود را از طریق برد تغذیه کنید. این امکان باعث می شود که ماژول همانند یک منبع تغذیه USB عمل کند.
با استفاده از مبدل ماژول USB to Serial CH340 ، به راحتی میتوانید پروژه یا محصول خود را به رابط usb مجهز کنید. در حقیقت با اتصال این مبدل به کامپیوتر و نصب برنامه درایور، یک پورت سریال مجازی به پورتهای کامپیوتر افزوده می شود. مبدل ماژول USB to Serial CH340 قابلیت کار با سیستم عاملهای Windows، MAC، Android ، Linux را دارا می باشد.
در خروجی این مبدل علاوه بر پین های txd ،rxdو gnd ولتاژ خروجی 5v و 3.3v نیز در نظر گرفته شده است. مبدل USB به سریال CH340 از سیگنال های ارتباطی مودم شامل RTS،DTR،DCD،RI،DSR و CTS پشتیبانی میکند و قابلیت تنظیم در بازه‌ی2400 الی 115200 بیت بر ثانیه را دارد.
این ماژول از ویندوز 10 پشتیبانی می کند.
